AoPSHoN Commends SUBEB Chairman Kabir’s Tireless Efforts, Celebrates National Award Recognition

The Association of Primary School Heads of Nigeria (AoPSHoN) has joined other stakeholders in congratulating the Chairman of SUBEB, Malam Yusuf Kabir, following his recent honour by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

AoPSHoN Chairman, Comrade Malam Abdussalam Sumaila, in a formal message, praised Malam Kabir’s relentless commitment to educational development, describing him as a seasoned administrator whose leadership has redefined the primary education landscape in the state.

Sumaila noted that Kabir’s rise through the ranks of the education sector, from grassroots engagement to top-level management, has equipped him with rare insight and empathy—qualities that reflect in his progràmme decisions and people-centered leadership

He particularly lauded Kabir’s emphasis on merit-based appointments and continuous training for headteachers. According to him, this has led to improved school governance, better learning environments, and enhanced academic outcomes for pupils.

“The award bestowed on Malam Yusuf Kabir is not only a tribute to his diligence and vision but also a recognition of the quiet revolution taking place in our public schools under his watch,” Sumaila stated.

He expressed hope that Kabir’s leadership model would be adopted nationally, as it demonstrates how effective governance, backed by experience and passion, can transform public education
