NASU Hails SUBEB Chairman Yusuf Kabir for Exemplary Service, Applauds National Labour Award

The Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has congratulated its Chairman, Malam Yusuf Kabir, on receiving a prestigious award from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). The commendation was issued by NASU’s SUBEB chapter chairman, Comrade Aminu Ali Maikudi.

In his message, Comrade Maikudi described the award as a well-earned recognition of Malam Kabir’s unwavering dedication, administrative excellence, and proven track record of service delivery in the education sector.

He emphasized that Kabir's decades of experience in public service, coupled with his deep understanding of education sector dynamics, have positioned him as a transformative figure in the state’s basic education system. His ability to balance infrastructural development with human capital investment has earned him the admiration of stakeholders across the board.

Under Kabir’s leadership, the Board has implemented far-reaching reforms that prioritize transparency, staff welfare, and project accountability. According to NASU, his hands-on approach has ensured that non-teaching staff are recognized as vital contributors to the educational process, thereby boosting morale and performance.

Comrade Maikudi concluded by expressing the union’s collective pride and optimism, stating that the award from NLC and TUC is a national endorsement of the positive strides made under Kabir’s stewardship.
