Acting Chairman SUBEB suspends three Teachers for absenteeism

 The Acting Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board, Malam Rabiu Abdulkadir Harbau has suspended three teachers of Wudil Special Primary School in Wudil Local Education Authority for absenteeism.

Malam Rabiu Harbau announced the suspension when he led the management of the outfit during unscheduled visit to the schools.

The Acting Chairman, said the board has received various reports from Monitoring and Evaluation Unit on absenteeism, late coming and negligence to duty by some unpatriotic teachers,
He said  the Board has embarked on routine visit to schools to checkmate such acts.
“The report from the schools indicated that the affected teachers have the habit andof absenteeism, though they were warned several times but still no changes” He said 

He expressed dismay over the turnout of teachers and pupils during the visit to the school, pointed out that the board would not fold its arms and watch such nonchallant attitude to continue without taking proper action 
He  urged Parents Teachers Association (PTA) School Based Management Committee (SBMC)  of the School to report any teacher found wanting

.“The present administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusif has a good plan aimed at   transforming and reinvigorating the Basic Education sector 
He urged teachers to support the effort of the Government.

Malam Rabiu Harbau, further charged teachers in the state to sit up while discharging their duties,.

He added  that the Board would continue rewarding hardworking staff while the lazy ones would be dealt with accordingly.
While briefing the staff of the Local Government Education Authority on the outcome of the visit, the acting the Chairman directed the Education Secretary and his team to stand firm to ensure teaching and Learning is taking place effectively in schools.
In his response the Education secretary of the area Mallam Shitu Alasan thanked the acting Chairman for the visit,
He  assured to make good use of the recommendation made by the Acting Chairman.
