SUBEB and PLANE partnership yielded fruitful result: KN SUBEB Chairperson

The Acting Chairperson, State Universal Basic Education Board, Hajiya Amina Umar, has reiterated the commitment of the Board to continue partnering with individuals or Organizations willing to support the Board to achieve its set objectives.

Hajiya Amina, gave the assurance during closing ceremony of Al-Class practice held at Race course Model Primary School, in Nasarawa Local Government Education Authority.

The Acting Chairperson, added that the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in conjunction with the Partnership for Learning fór All in Nigeria (PLANE) has conducted various program and activities in area of Teacher Development, Materials Development and Community sensitization and Mobilization aimed at improving the standard of Education.

“In spite of the Government commitment in the Education sector, individual and organizations have role to play through donations and contributions as compliment to Government efforts” She restated  
  In his opening remark, the State Team Leader Malam Umar Lawan who was represent by Accelerated Learning program officer Malam Habibu Saleh said the AL Class practice was aimed at assessing the performance learners on literacy and Numeracy so that the learners could be places at the right level base on their performance and trained them on how to  improve their literacy and Numeracy skills.

The State Team Leader Added that the PLANE program is currently working  in five Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Bunkure, Warawa, Ungogo, Rimingado, Bichi  in addition to Race Course Model Primary School  in area of teaching strengthening  Foundational skills and Learning Acceleration for learners.

The Foundational Skill manager, Malama Zainab Isah said PLANE program trained SUBEB’S senior staff, members of Arewa Consultative Forums, Tertiary institution staffand PLANE officials on modalities of the assessment and engage them in the practical aspect.

She further said the event was to appreciate support and cooperation by the staff and pupils of the school during AL Class practice. 
In her vote of thanks the Head Teacher of the School Malama Wasila s. Jauro thanked PLANE and SUBEB for the selection of the school for the conduct of the program then assured the redness of the school to host similar programme whenever  the need arises .

Colorful of the event ware songs, debate, drama, pupil’s composition and presentation of an award of excellence to the acting Chairperson, Hajiya Amina Umar.

Bichi LGEA Distributes BESDA Offer of Appointment to Newly Recruited Facilitators

By JB Danlami  The Bichi Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) has distributed offer of appointment l to newly recruited facilitators under the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) program.  The ceremony, led by Hon. Habibu Fagolo, Vice Chairman of Bichi Local Government Council, representing the Chairman, took place at the council's headquarters. In his remarks, Malam Auwal Idris Bichi, Education Secretary of Bichi LGEA, emphasized the importance of competency and dedication in the newly recruited BESDA Cohort IV Facilitators.  He urged them to demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the quality of education in the area, stating that "the success of the BESDA program depends on your ability to deliver effective teaching and learning outcomes."
